~3200 DVDs, Blurays, Boxsets, Music Videos, TV Seasons, etc.
- Blue rays, TV seasons, Criterion Editions and boxsets have remained in the lot. They have not been picked out.
- Lots of specialty videos are included in this lot (martial arts/UFC, rock/pop music -Rolling Stones, Beatles, Frank Zappa, Jazz, etc.- Criterion editions BBC, off beat horror flics, TV seasons, Disney/kids, foreign art films, documentaries, Star Wars)
- The almost 100 photos of the spines represent approximately two thirds of the lot (we couldn't fit more on the four folding tables we have). If you buy the lot you will receive all items shown on the pictures below.
- All items are region code U.S./Canada
- On average, approximately 23% of the items are in "new" condition, shrink wrapped and factory sealed. The majority of the remaining items are used in "like new" condition with a smaller number of items in "very good" condition.
- All DVDs come in their original case and with complete cover art.
- There are no water damaged or scratched items in this lot.
- There are no bootlegs in this lot.
- This is not a liquidation lot or overstock: we bought the items from individual collectors and the titles therefore represent what your customers actually look at and pay for. We acquired the items in individual transactions, usually for between 75 and 300 DVDs at a time.
- There are almost no ex-Blockbuster DVDs in this lot (we try to take them out when we buy them but might have overlooked two or three).
- There is no porn in this lot.
- This lot has not been prescreened and there are lots of boxsets, music video DVDs, and TV series in this lot.
- We don't have a spreadsheet with UPC/ASIN numbers since we could as well sell the items individually online if we would go through the hassle of scanning and classifying all our DVDs by condition.
- Absolutely no cherry picking.
- The DVDs are packaged on regular sized pallets (3200 DVDs per pallet = 40 Home Depot book boxes).
- The DVDs can be inspected in our warehouse in Northern New Jersey or through a video call with Google Duo. During the Google Duo call you can direct us to open different boxes and take out the DVDs. Our cellphone will be your eyes and it will be as if you are going through our lot in person (without the travel).

What goes into our DVD lots? (All pictures are for lot #159)
We aggregate our DVD lots from purchases in New York City. We have been in business for twenty years and we regularly buy from industry people, e.g. authors, agents, publicists, reviewers (no promo/advance copies), radio stations, etc. Most of our purchases are books, but we often pick up smaller amounts of DVDs which we then aggregate into larger DVD lots.
Since we buy most of our stuff in Manhattan some of our titles are "New York themed."

Since we buy from industry people, there might be some special copies for Academy Awards Judges in the lot (which should be sold on Ebay as collectors items instead of Amazon)
We are always looking for music videos. Lot # 159 contains a good number of music videos. All DVDs shown below are part of lot # 159
We like video sets from "The Great Courses" because they are often very valuable. Older editions sell at a premium because they are different than the current offerings. Lot 159 contains several sets of "Great Courses" videos complete with the printed course guides and shrink wrapped/factory sealed.
We like to buy some obscure stuff! Some of it might turn out to be garbage. A lot might not sell super fast. But there is a buyer for even the most obscure title out there - usually at a steep price. Like all items shown on this page the few obscure items below are included in lot #159.
We also like to buy art movies, especially European art movies and Criterion editions. These titles have a devoted following and sell at a premium.
Like all our lots lot #159 includes a lot of boxsets, special editions, TV seasons, and titles with special packaging like the one shown below. We don't sell individual items ourselves. We don't compete with our buyers. There is no conflict of interest; we don't pick valuable boxsets out of our wholesale lots. Period.
For some people that's difficult to believe. But that's the way it works - and has worked for twenty years.

While we like premium priced/slower moving titles such as Criterion Editions, music videos, boxsets, documentaries, and foreign art films, we also like fast moving mid-priced titles, for example kids movies and Disney productions.
Especially during the Corona Crisis, parents are reluctant or unable to take their kids to the movies. The kids are sitting at home and go stir crazy or have cabin fever. Desperate parents like to order DVDs for their kids because they provide something like a cinematic experience and are more reliable than streaming.
Lot #159 includes all the kids movies shown below!

We like to acquire wrestling-, boxing-, and martial arts fight movies for our lots. There is a loyal collectors market for these titles. They might sell slow, but they all sell, often at a premium.
On a lighter note: we always like to buy stand-up comedy, especially the "Saturday Night Live" series.
Please see below for titles from lot #159 that are not thematically organized.
This will be our last DVD lot for the time being.
Covid-19 has hit New York City really hard and nobody allows us into their apartments to source new inventory.
